"Today marks the anniversary of the massacre of thousands of innocent people in Halabja with American, British, French and German weapons," the Secretary of High Council for Huma Rights tweeted.
“Hawks will not pick out hawks’ eyes”, the official reminded the role of western countries in the chemical bombing of Halabja.
One of the biggest crimes of the Ba'athist regime in Iraq was the attack on Sardasht, in which many civilians were martyred and 8,000 people were poisoned. Since the late 1980s, Iraq, with the direct assistance of experts and scientists from the former Soviet Union and Yugoslavia, the United States, Argentina, Brazil, Spain, the Netherlands, Italy, Egypt, Germany, France, and several other countries, purchased production materials and equipment of chemical weapons.
Evidence shows that the transfer of raw materials and the production of chemicals under the deceptive titles such as pesticides, insecticides, chemical fertilizers and with full knowledge of western countries and companies, were implemented. That is why these countries prevented the issuance of the Security Council resolution against Saddam.
