Esmaeel Sadeghi Niaraki, Judiciary Chief in Zanjan Province announced that a doctor was sentenced to pay compensation and make free visits to 500 patients in deprived areas of Zanjan as a substitute punishment for imprisonment."
This doctor who was found guilty of negligence in a medical case, was sentenced by Judge Alimohammadi, the head of chamber 102 of Zanjan Criminal Court, to pay compensation to the patient's family and to visit 500 patients for free in deprived areas of Zanjan to as an alternative punishment to one year in prison under the supervision of the Deputy Minister of Health.
