In a bilateral conversation with "Faeq Zidan", the chairman of the Iraqi Supreme Judicial Council on Tuesday morning, Ayatollah Seyyed Ibrahim Ra'isi considered the relationship between the people and the government of Iran and Iraq not only the relationship between the two neighboring countries, but also unique relations rooted in deep beliefs.
The head of the judiciary stressed that these relations have increased the interest of the two countries day by day, despite the wishes of the enemies, and thank God, there are good interactions in the political, economic, commercial and cultural scopes between the two countries.
In another part of his speech, the head of the judiciary referred to the issue of drug trafficking and said that the Islamic Republic of Iran is at the forefront of the fight against drugs in the world.
"We are victims of the drug trade, and we have sacrificed many martyrs and paid a high cost in this way,” he added.
The head of the judiciary said that the roots of narcotics and traffickers are in the West and the conversion of traditional narcotics into industry and trade and commerce is related to those who are present in the West, not Afghanistan and Pakistan.
"Today, the Islamic Republic has been encouraged many times for its seriousness in the fight against drugs, and we have been serious in this field since the beginning of the victory of the Islamic Revolution, “he said.
