  • Three online services launched by Judiciary for Iranians living abroad: HCHR secretary

Ali Bagheri Kani announced the launch of three new judicial services for Iranian citizens living abroad and said: "following up the problems and issues of Iranians abroad is one of the main issues on the agenda of the High Council for Human Rights and we consider it our duty to help the families of Iranian citizens with the cooperation of other relevant governmental bodies.”

The Secretary of the High Council for Human Rights and the Deputy for International Affairs to the Judiciary visited the Consular Service Desk and the Response System for Iranians Abroad at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Wednesday and spoke with a number of Iranian citizens who were present at the event.

Visiting various departments such as the Social Services Desk, the Student Service Desk and the Citizenship, Refugee and Immigrant Affairs Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the HCHR Secretary stated that identifying Iranian citizens and prisoners who need help abroad and resolving their problems is one of the most important services provided by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Consular Desk.

Baghri praised the measures adopted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Iranian citizens living abroad and said : "the creation and use of technologies and online electronic systems, in which the judiciary is also a pioneer, will facilitate the affairs of Iranians abroad, but this does not mean  that all the needs of the people have been met; these services should be upgraded, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs should make sure that people receive the services they need online, instead of refereing to the room of officials in order to  meet their needs.

Mentioning  the issue of Iranian prisoners abroad, the Deputy for International Affairs to the Judiciary said that following up the problems of Iranian prisoners abroad is one of the issues on the agenda of the HCHR and we consider it our duty to help the families of Iranian citizens with the cooperation of other relevant governmental bodies."

Bagheri Kani announced the launch of three new on line services provided by the judiciary for Iranian citizens living abroad and said that the holders of the judicial system code could have access to electronic judicial services through a site created specifically for Iranians abroad (kharej.adliran.ir)

"Iranians abroad who have a Sana code, can use all judicial services such as viewing judicial notices and the texts of issued verdicts, information on the case process and also taking turns from judicial units for their cases, as well as requesting a certificate of  criminal records”, he added.

“Those who do not have a Sana user code will also be able to  register online from February 1, this year, and Iranians abroad who do not have a Sana code would have no problem in this regard anymore”, Bagheri said.

The HCHR Secretary also added that by the end of the year, it will be possible to issue a certificate of criminal record online in English, especially for Iranians abroad, so that the work, which currently takes more than two months through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the International Police, would be done on line in a day.
