In reaction to the coward assassination of the prominent Iranian scientist, Mohsen Fakhrzade, the MAPIM strongly condemned this terrorist act. The statement issued by MAPIM reads as follows,
We condemn the assassination of the Iranian nuclear scientist and convey our condolences to his family and the people of Iran and believe that this assassination will not deter Iranians to strengthen their resolve to resist state terrorism especially that of Israel which is supported by the US.
The Friday’s assassination marks the second high-profile targeted killing of a top Iranian official after IRGC Quds Force Chief General Qassem Soleimani’s killing.
The murder of the nuclear scientist Mohsen Fakhrizadeh is a provocation for war and will have serious implication. This terrorist act has been executed amid Trump's announcement that US may strike at Iran and it does indicate role of Israel in this regard. In fact, series of targeted killings by Israel is well documented.
It is obvious that targeting important individuals in Iran aims to create a state of fear by quarters who want to put maximum pressure on Iran since targeted terrorist attacks orchestrated by Iran's adversaries have been a strategy executed on many occasions targeting Iranian leaders.
Martyred Fakhrizadeh is a prominent figure in Iran who developed Iran’s capacity by his scientific endeavors. Assassinating Iranian nuclear scientists points to an attempt to curb Iran's potential to develop its scientific development and prevent Iran from developing its capacity to their right to defense.
The international community cannot perceive this cowardice act as just an Iranian affair and we believe that any nation will be exposed to targeted killings when the interest of the hegemonic powers is challenged. We call on international community not to remain silent. They should come out to condemn this act of state terror.
Israeli secret services have been deploying assassination squads to eliminate targeted individuals and the US has intensified pressure on Iran to create a full-blown war.
We stand in solidarity with the Iranian people to stand up against the Zionist agenda and believe that targeting Iranian entities and individuals is terrorism that must be strongly responded.
