Blasphemous conduct towards Islam clear example of cultural terrorism: HR official

  • Blasphemous conduct towards Islam clear example of cultural terrorism: HR official
In a televised interview broadcast by IRIB, Ali Bagheri, the Secretary of High Council for Human Rights said that the French insulting conduct is a clear example of cultural terrorism since such acts could not be tolerated by Muslims all over the world.

He also mentioned that such cartoons insulting Prophet Mohammad (Peace be upon him) were published a few years ago for the first time and unfortunately they were published once again a while ago after which the French president defended this insult to Muslims and considered it as an instance for freedom of speech.

On the differences in attitudes towards human beings, Bagheri said: “we do not consider the French, the German and the British as Muslims but we do consider them as human beings however their practice has proved that they do not consider non-Muslims as human beings.

“The French insulting act is actually the implementation of the Zionist grand policies since they consider the spread of Islam as a serious threat and therefore they are making great efforts to loosen the foundations of Islamic beliefs so that Muslims would react to such insults reluctantly in the future”, the Deputy of International Affairs to the Judiciary added.

With respect to the measures needed to be taken by Iran in this regard, Bagheri said that as an Islamic country, we should express our contempt towards the French magazine’s disdainful conduct and stress that any offensive behavior towards Muslims particularly the high and sacred position of Prophet Mohammad will not be tolerated.
