  • Cooperation among various institutions to secure the rights of the Iranian nation following the aggression by the United States and the Zionist regime is ongoing

The Deputy to the Secretary-General of the High Council for Human Rights, referring to the seriousness of various institutions in legally pursuing the issue of the United States’ and the Zionist regime’s aggression against Iran, stated that this process is continuing through cooperation and coordination among the different bodies.

The legal pursuit of the United States’ and the Zionist regime’s aggression against Iran in the current year was placed on the Judiciary’s agenda from the very first days of this crime. Hojjat al-Islam wal-Muslimin Mohseni-Ejei, the Head of the Judiciary, emphasizing the legal and judicial follow-up of the Zionist regime’s crimes, stated: “The Zionist criminals must certainly be prosecuted and brought to trial for the crimes they have committed in our country, in Gaza, and in other places”.

The Head of the Judiciary stressed that the Islamic Republic will continue to pursue the Zionist regime’s crimes through all legal and judicial channels, both domestically and internationally, and will not allow the passage of time to diminish the gravity of these violations or consign them to oblivion.

In this regard, Khosro Hakimi, Advisor to the Head of the Judiciary and Deputy to the Secretary-General of the High Council for Human Rights, in an interview with Mizan, emphasized the cooperation and coordination among various national institutions in legally pursuing the issue of the United States’ and the Zionist regime’s aggression against Iran.

According to the Deputy to the Secretary-General of the HCHR, not only the Judiciary’s International Affairs Department and the High Council for Human Rights, or the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, but also a wide range of other institutions undertook commendable efforts in documenting the events of the 12-day conflict.

He stated that these documents have been submitted to the Legal Affairs Department of the Presidency, and that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in accordance with its inherent mandate, will pursue the matter through the relevant legal and international channels. He added that the Judiciary’s International Affairs Department and the High Council for Human Rights will extend full cooperation and support to all relevant institutions capable of securing the rights of the oppressed Iranian nation.

In another part of his remarks, Hakimi addressed the cooperation between the Judiciary and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in preparing the annual reports on human rights violations in the United States and the United Kingdom. He explained: “This responsibility rests primarily with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs; however, we have exchanged materials. This means that the responses and correspondence we have conducted with various international bodies are transmitted through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and it is likely that these sources have also been used in the preparation of those reports.
