A judicial system meeting on how to claim damages caused by the Zionist regime's aggression was held at the High Council for Human Rights with the presence of the First Deputy of the Judiciary.

Asghar Jahangir, the spokesman for the Judiciary and the Deputy Minister for Social Affairs and Crime Prevention, announced the holding of a meeting of the Judiciary on how to claim damages from the criminal Zionist regime and the US government, chaired by Hojatoleslam valmuslemin Hamze Khalili, the First Deputy Minister of the Judiciary, and attended by a number of relevant deputies and experts.

He stated: “In this meeting, views were exchanged on the types of damage inflicted on the Islamic Republic of Iran, including financial damage, whether movable and immovable property, and the loss of life suffered by the dear people of our country, including those martyred or those injured and wounded in the cowardly attacks of the Zionist regime”.

Emphasizing the use of domestic and international legal capacities to pursue people's rights, the spokesperson for the Judiciary acknowledged: “In this regard, it was decided to hold a meeting to decide and document issues related to damages, with the presence of the first deputies of the 3 Branches”.

Referring to the need for coordination between the Branches of government to expedite the process of collecting documents, he stated: “Based on the resolutions of this meeting, the government agencies that have suffered damage will take action to document the damage under the responsibility of the highest relevant authority so that the Judiciary can put the next steps on the agenda”.

Jahangir noted: “It is important for us to count all damages, whether damages to dear people or to the government; but since providing evidence and expert opinion is related to different departments, it is necessary to quickly coordinate and synergize between all 3 Branches in the shortest possible time so that by collecting these documents in a timely manner, legal measures can be taken against criminals and aggressors”.
