  • Israel demolishes 280,000 housing units in Gaza

The Ministry of Employment and Housing in Gaza announced that the Israeli regime’s attacks on the area have destroyed more than 280,000 residential units.

According to Al-Mayadeen, the Ministry of Employment and Housing in Gaza, presenting initial statistics on the damage caused to residential areas in the Gaza Strip as a result of the Israeli regime’s aggression, announced that while the ministry’s staff is still continuing to make initial estimates of the damage, it has been determined that at least 280,000 residential units have been destroyed as a result of the Israeli regime’s attacks.

The ministry adds that since the beginning of the Israeli regime’s attacks, its staff has begun field counting of the residential units that have been destroyed and those that have suffered minor damage or are uninhabitable as a result of further destruction.

According to the ministry’s assessment, the number of residential units that have been completely destroyed or uninhabitable with severe damage is likely to exceed 280,000 units. According to this report, the number of units that have been counted in the field so far exceeds 250,000 units, of which 170,000 units have been completely destroyed and another 80,000 units have been destroyed in a way that makes them uninhabitable.
