Iran judiciary indicts 14 over Fakhrizadeh assassination

  • Iran judiciary indicts 14 over Fakhrizadeh assassination
Tehran’s Chief Prosecutor Ali Salehi has filed an indictment against 14 people involved in the assassination of Iranian nuclear scientist Mohsen Fakhrizadeh in 2020.

Corruption on earth, contribution to intelligence and espionage for the Zionist regime, collusion aimed at disrupting Iran's security, and endangering the Islamic country’s security are among the charges of the 14 individuals, the prosecutor announced.

Mohsen Fakhrizadeh, then head of the Iranian Defense Ministry’s Organization of Defensive Innovation and Research, was assassinated in a cold blood terrorist attack in Absard town of Damavand County in Tehran Province on November 27, 2020.

Iran believes that the Zionist regime hatched the plot to assassinate the Iranian scientists because the Zionists have played a role in several attempts to stop the Islamic Republic's peaceful nuclear program.
