  • HR official addresses western countries which supported Saddam

Addressing three western countries, Ali Bagheri Kani wrote about the Halabja massacre: Hawks will not pick out hawks’ eyes!

In a tweet, the Deputy of International Affairs to the Judiciary wrote that "the world will never forget the United States, Britain and France, even blocked the issuance of a UN Security Council resolution condemning the dictator Saddam’s use of chemical weapons."

"Today marks the anniversary of the massacre of thousands of innocent people in Halabja with American, British, French and German weapons," the Secretary of High Council for Huma Rights tweeted.

“Hawks will not pick out hawks’ eyes”, the official reminded the role of western countries in the chemical bombing of Halabja.

One of the biggest crimes of the Ba'athist regime in Iraq was the attack on Sardasht, in which many civilians were martyred and 8,000 people were poisoned. The silence of the international community after the incident led the regime to continue to use weapons of mass destruction and to continue to attack various parts of Iran and the Kurdish regions of Iraq with chemical weapons.

Since the late 1980s, Iraq, with the direct assistance of experts and scientists from the former Soviet Union and Yugoslavia, the United States, Argentina, Brazil, Spain, the Netherlands, Italy, Egypt, Germany, France, and several other countries, purchased production materials and equipment of chemical weapons.

Evidence shows that the transfer of raw materials and the production of chemicals under the deceptive titles such as pesticides, insecticides, chemical fertilizers and with full knowledge of western countries and companies, were implemented. That is why these countries prevented the issuance of the Security Council resolution against Saddam.
