In the specialized meeting between the Deputy Minister of Women's Sports Development and the Vice President of Women, after hearing the great achievements made by female athletes, Ali Bagheri Kani asked the audience to stand on their feet and applaud them as a sign of respect.
This action of the HCHR Secretary was welcomed and appreciated by female athletes.
The HCHR also appreciated five female athletes as peace sports ambassadors with awards.
The selected people were "Armina Sadeghian" as the youngest athlete sent to the 2020 Olympics, "Hamideh Abbasali", the country's most famous karate athlete, "Kimia Hemmati", the bronze medalist of the Third Youth Olympic Games in Buenos Aires, "Shahla Behroozirad, a Paralympics rowing champion, and Elham Mohammadi, an exemplary organ transplant athlete.
