Mentioning that in the Islamic Republic of Iran, Zoroastrians, Christians and Jews have stood side by side with the Muslims on different fronts at different times, Ali Bagheri Kani said that "National interaction" under the banner of "Iranian nation identity" works as the antidote to the enemies' conspiracy to create “National schism".
The Secretary of the High Council for Human Rights of Iran made a visit to the Zoroastrian Dispute Resolution Council in Tehran on Monday) and talked with the executive agents of this center.
In this meeting, Bagheri Kani pointed out that all religious minorities, including Zoroastrians, Christians, and Jews are citizens of Iran, a clear example of which was proved during the eight years of holy defense.
"The enemies of the Islamic Republic have targeted national unity and are trying to create divisions among different sections of society, but the experience of the benevolent coexistence of the followers of different religions in Iran, which is several thousand years old, has made this alliance inseparable”, he added.
The Deputy of International Affairs to the Judiciary praised the Zoroastrian martyrs of the imposed eight-year war and said that the courage of Zoroastrian compatriots along with Muslim brothers to protect the identity of the Iranian nation and guarantee national sovereignty and protect the territorial integrity of the country is a manifestation of unity and maximum empathy of the Iranian nation against enemies which has been and will be the secret of the victory of the Iranian nation in various fields.
Referring to a member of the Zoroastrian Dispute Resolution Council, whose son was martyred during the holy war Bagheri Kani said that the cornerstone of patriotism is the level of readiness of each person to sacrifice their life for the transcendent ideals of the Iranian nation."
Speaking of the long and continuous coexistence of different religions in Iran, Bagheri Kani stated that perhaps nowhere in the world can we find a country like Iran in which, on a three-kilometer street there are a mosque, a church, a synagogue and a fire temple for Zoroastrians, Christians and Muslims to perform their religious rites in complete security and peace.
On the sideline of this meeting, Mr. Esfandiar Ekhtiari, the representative of Zoroastrians in the Majlis, also explained about the activities of the Zoroastrian Special Dispute Resolution Council and said that the main cases decided by this branch are regarding the personal status of individuals.
Also, Gholamreza Mahdavi, Deputy Chief to the Judiciary and Chairman of the Dispute Resolution Council of Tehran Province stressed that the basis of work in the Dispute Resolution Council is peace and reconciliation, and acknowledged that the Dispute Resolution Council is ready to establish special branches for other religions.
