A member of the European Parliament said that the imposition of illegal sanctions against countries, including Iran, is economic terrorism that destroys human lives.
"The United States has already imposed sanctions on 38 countries in the world, which is a form of economic terrorism, and the European Union has accompanied the US in many of these sanctions," Irish MP Mick Wallace tweeted.
The European Parliament member went on to say that despite US sanctions, Cuba has sent medical teams to more than 39 countries to fight the Corona virus.
"The United States and the European Union are increasingly using sanctions as a weapon against countries that do not bow to them," he said in a statement. These sanctions, without UN approval, whether against Venezuela or Syria, Iran or Cuba, are "economic terrorism" that destroys human lives.
The MEP also tweeted a video in which he stressed that the unilateral sanctions were a clear violation of international law.
