The mayor of Ahvaz city and the former CEO of ABFA company have been sentenced to one year in prison, two years of dismissal from governmental jobs and apologizing to the people; of course, this sentence has not been finalized yet.
Mohammad Reza Izadi also said that unfortunately, Khuzestan province has been suffering from mismanagement for many years."
The member of the Ahvaz City Council mentioned that the members of the council, like other citizens, are upset about the flood situation. During the rainy seasons of the year, the situation was deplorable and many areas and houses of the people were severely flooded, therefore, following a special order issued by Ayatollah Raeesi with respect to dealing with the culprits of the floods in the city, Ahvaz prosecutor entered the case.
"After filing a case and asking experts for their opinions, now the mayor of Ahvaz and the former CEO of ABFA have been sentenced to one year in prison, two years of dismissal from service and apologizing to the people”, he said.
