Considering the existing circumstances in the judicial system and based on the shortcomings studied after the Islamic Revolution, the judicial development document has been issued with the aim of fulfilling people’s satisfaction and administering justice.
One of the main goals of this document is for the judicial system to return to its main mission mentioned in the Constitution such as ensuring public rights, protecting legitimate freedoms and monitoring correct execution of laws.
The seven main tasks of the judicial system as determined by the Constitution and also based on the general policies are as follows:
. Deciding complaints, lawsuits and dispute settlement
. Ensuring public rights, administration of justice and guarantying legitimate freedoms
. Monitoring proper law enforcement
. Discovering crimes, prosecution and punishment of criminals according to Islamic Penal Code
. Preventing crimes and disputes
. Correctional measures for criminals
. Supporting private ownership rights
The judicial development document also pays special attention to the managerial system of the judiciary and believes in the need to redesigning certain managerial systems in the judiciary.
In general, the mentioned document aims to ensure the legitimate freedoms of citizens and also protect public rights using experiences and opinions offered by officials and experts so that people could sense the results of enjoying social justice in the society.
