In a meeting with the Habilian Association and a number of victim families of terror held at the High Council for Human Rights on the occasion of the National Day of Fight against Terrorism on Tuesday afternoon, the Deputy of International Affairs to the Judiciary said that should western countries claim they are against terrorism, they need to apply the Instex mechanism to terrorist groups so that they would have to use this financial channel in order to meet their basic needs clearly.
Bagheri mentioned western policies towards human rights and justice and said that such values have no place in western policies for they are all based on the interests of the ruling classes in western countries.
Any countries or groups against US illegitimate interests would be accused of supporting terrorism and that is the reason Hezbollah and the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) have been put on the US terrorist groups list, he added.
The Secretary of HCHR also mentioned “creation of terrorism”, “terrorism laundry” and “raising terrorism” as the three main strategies applied by western powers particularly the US and said that as their interests require, they would create a terrorist group like Al-Qaida and then through the strategy of terrorism laundry they would remove a terrorist group like the MKO from the list of terrorist groups and also back up the mentioned group through the strategy of raising terrorism.
In response to the request made by victim families of terror respecting western countries’ effective measures against terrorism, Bagheri said that if western countries are seriously against terrorism, why don’t they stop terrorist groups’ free activities in those countries and why don’t they prevent them from using western banks for their financial transactions?
“Should western countries truly claim that they are against terrorist groups, they need to apply the Instex mechanism to them so that they would have to meet their basic needs through this financial channel. But, unfortunately, those who commit terrorist acts in Iran are granted citizenship and are backed up politically and financially by western countries”.
Bagheri stated that a vivid feature of sovereignty in Iran is human dignity and justice, therefore, the elimination of terrorism is a certain policy taken by the Islamic Republic of Iran and serious measures are taken in this regard. Besides, all domestic and international judicial and legal capacities are to be applied so that terrorists would have no safe spot in the world and the three main bodies of the Islamic Republic of Iran should provide the victim families of terrorism with legal tools and the media so that they could act as ambassadors in the political arena all over the world and reveal the western violation of human rights at international platforms, he added.
