The Secretary-General of the High Council for Human Rights of the Islamic Republic of Iran received the deputy Iranian foreign minister for consular, parliamentary and Iranians' affairs, discussing important issues including the facilitation of services to Iranians abroad.
Kazem Gharibabadi, Vice-President of the Judiciary for International Affairs and Secretary-General of the High Council for Human Rights of the Islamic Republic of Iran, tweeted: “In the meeting with the deputy Iranian foreign minister for consular, parliamentary and Iranians' affairs, important issues were discussed: Facilitating provision of services to Iranians living abroad, addressing the situation of imprisoned Iranians, facilitating legal and judicial services for Iranians and foreign nationals for investment, and the situation of foreign nationals imprisoned in Iran.”
Protecting the Rights of Iranian Living Abroad
In this meeting, the issue of comprehensive support for Iranian abroad and also ways of cooperation and participation in this field were discussed.
The need to review the methods of dealing with the situation of Iranian prisoners abroad, encouraging and supporting non-governmental organizations supporting prisoners and consular and legal support for Iranians living abroad, are other important points raised during the meeting.
In order to follow up the decisions, it was decided to hold a joint specialized meeting with the directors and experts of the Deputy of Consular, Parliamentary and the Iranians’ affairs, at the place of The Ministry of Foreign Affair.
The meeting was also attended by advisers to the Deputy of Consular, Parliamentary and the Iranians’ affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
