This morning, unidentified armed individuals attacked the courthouse in the capital of Sistan and Baluchestan Province. Emergency responders were dispatched to the scene following the incident.
 

Following this morning’s terrorist attack on the Judiciary building in Sistan and Baluchestan Province (Zahedan), which resulted in the martyrdom and injury of several citizens, Mohammad Movahedi, the Prosecutor General of Iran, issued a special directive calling for the immediate identification of the groups and networks behind the attack and decisive action against them.

Expressing condolences to the families of the victims and wishing a swift recovery for the injured, the Prosecutor General assigned the Public and Revolutionary Prosecutor of Zahedan the task of urgently identifying the perpetrators and investigating the scope of the terrorist group's activities, utilizing all security and intelligence resources, to ensure that those behind this crime are dealt with in a way that serves as a lesson to others.

Condemning the terrorist act, Movahedi described it as a failed attempt by enemies to disrupt national security and unity among the Iranian people. He stressed: "After the failure of their 12-day hybrid warfare campaign, the enemies have now turned to blind terrorist attacks. However, the Iranian nation should rest assured that with God's help and the efforts of the country’s security, law enforcement, and judicial forces, a firm and severe response awaits the masterminds and supporters of this crime."

Head of Sistan and Baluchestan judiciary: Number of martyrs rises to six

Judiciary Media Center –Movahedi Rad, Chief Justice of Sistan and Baluchestan Province, stated: This morning, an armed group attempted to enter the Zahedan courthouse. However, due to the vigilance of the security and protection forces, their entry was prevented. The terrorists then began an armed confrontation using firearms and by throwing military-grade grenades.

He explained that the clashes extended outside the courthouse building and unfortunately, during the terrorists’ shooting at civilians, an infant under one year of age was martyred and the child’s mother was wounded. Most of the victims of this terrorist attack are ordinary civilians.

Regarding the identities of the victims, Movahedi Rad added that among the martyrs is an approximately 60-year-old Baluch woman whose identity has not yet been confirmed.

He further stated that the attackers were equipped with explosive vests and military grenades. According to the Quds Base of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), three of the terrorists were killed during the operation.

According to the report, three members of the courthouse’s protection forces and soldiers were also martyred in the attack.

Speaking on the number of injured, the Chief Justice noted: Unfortunately, 22 people were injured, the majority of whom were civilians. Some were treated on an outpatient basis and discharged, while three individuals sought medical care due to stress and anxiety from the incident and were also treated and released.

He concluded by stating that the situation in Zahedan is currently stable and calm.

Details of the terrorist attack on the Zahedan courthouse

According to the correspondent from IRIB News Agency in Zahedan: Around 8:30 AM today, a terrorist attack occurred at the Zahedan courthouse. The duty officer and the soldier at the entrance immediately responded and prevented the terrorist operation, thereby helping to save civilians to some extent.

Due to the grenade explosion, several civilians were injured, including two employees from a nearby pharmacy and a shopkeeper.

Traffic flow in Zahedan is currently normal. One terrorist was killed inside the courthouse, and two others were killed during a pursuit by security forces.

Three members of the terrorist group attacking Zahedan courthouse killed

The Public Relations Office of the Quds Base of the IRGC Ground Forces announced that three members of the terrorist group involved in the attack on the courthouse in the provincial capital were killed.

Security forces have brought the situation under control.

Five people martyred in the terrorist attack on Zahedan courthouse

Earlier today, unidentified armed individuals launched an attack on the Zahedan courthouse. According to initial reports, five people have been martyred and 13 others injured in the course of this terrorist incident.
