Iran’s Permanent Mission to the United Nations, in an official letter addressed to UN Secretary-General António Guterres and the President of the Security Council, submitted a comprehensive and updated report on the crimes of the Israeli regime, particularly highlighting the women and children martyred during the 12-day military aggression against the Islamic Republic of Iran. Iran requested that this report be registered and distributed as an official document of the Security Council.
The letter highlighted the heavy human casualties and widespread destruction caused by the Israeli attacks and emphasized the legal and international responsibility of those responsible for this blatant act of aggression.
According to the report attached to the letter, during the Israeli regime’s aerial, missile, and drone attacks — which began on June 12, 2025, and continued until June 23 — a total of 1,100 innocent civilians, including 132 women and 45 children, were martyred, and more than 5,750 others were injured.
These crimes were committed while the Israeli regime, with broad military, intelligence, and political support from the United States and certain Western countries, deliberately targeted civilian centers, critical infrastructure, hospitals, media outlets, peaceful nuclear facilities, and Iranian families.
The report lists the names and details of some of the women, children, and families who were killed together while in civilian settings such as their homes or workplaces due to these attacks by Israel.
Among the examples cited are the martyrdom of 30 schoolchildren, the complete extermination of families such as the Sedighi Saber, Zakarian, Sadati Eramki, and Niazmand families, as well as attacks on Hakim Children’s Hospital, kindergartens, public parks, Evin Prison, and ambulances.
Iran’s Mission, in its letter, described these acts as a flagrant violation of the UN Charter, international law, the Geneva Conventions, and international human rights instruments. It called on the Security Council to end the structural impunity of the Israeli regime and its supporters and to take effective action to halt these criminal practices and prosecute those responsible.
The report has also been submitted to the UN Secretary-General’s Special Representative for Children and Armed Conflict and to UNICEF.
