Head of Judiciary: Judicial authorities must take swift action to rebuild the damaged parts of Evin Prison

  • Head of Judiciary: Judicial authorities must take swift action to rebuild the damaged parts of Evin Prison

The Head of the Judiciary, Mohseni Ejei, stated that since June 12, when another imposed war against the Iranian nation began and a brave and sacred defense by the people and armed forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran was launched against the Zionist-American enemy, an extraordinary display of unity and cohesion among various social groups in Iran has emerged.

during a session of the Supreme Council of the Judiciary held on Monday (July 7), Mohseni Ejei extended condolences on the mourning days of Muharram and said:

“This year’s Muharram has a unique spirit. People across the globe have witnessed the true meaning of Iran being a nation of Ashura. The world assumed that this year, due to Zionist and American crimes, Muharram would be dimmed in Iran. But in truth, this year’s Muharram has been unparalleled. The zeal and bravery of the Hosseini people of Iran shone brightly, and as Imam Khomeini (RA) said, Iran is a divine existence that no worldly power can harm.”

He added: “The recent events and the brave defense of our people and armed forces against the U.S. and the Zionist regime proved to the world that Iran truly is the land of the brave. What once seemed like a slogan— ‘Iran, the land of the brave’—has now become a reality witnessed by all.”

The Judiciary Chief emphasized that the Iranian nation, inspired by Ashura, has shown limitless courage and valor. He warned: “If the treacherous enemy dares again to attack Iran, they will face an even more crushing response from the people and armed forces.”

Explaining the factors behind the recent wave of national unity, he said: “Since this new imposed war began, all segments of society—regardless of class, opinion, or political stance, even Iranians abroad—have come together in solidarity to defend the Islamic Republic. This national unity must be preserved.”

Ejei continued: “The Islamic Republic and its officials deeply appreciate the devotion of this courageous and loyal nation. We in the Judiciary must serve them better and more than ever in return. Just as they have made sacrifices, we too must sacrifice. We must work harder to satisfy and respect the people and ensure their security by confronting hostile and infiltrating elements decisively.”

He added: “In appreciation of this devoted nation, the Judiciary is ready—stronger and more unified than before—to hold consultation meetings with all social groups, including scholars, intellectuals, politicians from all spectrums, traders, artists, journalists, public speakers, athletes, and others. We will listen to their concerns and take action within our capacity to help resolve their problems.”

Addressing the recent Israeli attack on Evin Prison, Mohseni Ejei instructed: “Relevant officials, including the First Deputy of the Judiciary and the head of the Prison Organization, must take the necessary steps to rebuild the damaged parts of Evin Prison as quickly as possible and prepare conditions for the rapid return of displaced inmates.”

He further emphasized that despite the current crisis, economic growth and production must not be sidelined: “Judicial authorities must support the government in revitalizing production and strengthening the economy. Some businesses may have been damaged in this new war or may be unable to fulfill their obligations. Judiciary officials must help, within legal frameworks, to prevent economic stagnation.”

He praised the performance of Iran’s market and trade sectors during this conflict: “Our merchants have truly shined. The Judiciary commends their efforts and stands ready to assist them—within legal parameters—in market regulation and other responsibilities.”

In conclusion, the Judiciary Chief once again highlighted the importance of public participation and said: “The outpouring of charity and goodwill during the first ten days of Muharram has been remarkable. The Judiciary must also play a part in this—particularly in supporting the needy connected to the judiciary system, such as prisoners and their families.”
