HCHR_Kazem Gharibabadi, the Vice-President of the Judiciary for International Affairs and the Secretary-General of the High Council for Human Rights of the Islamic Republic of Iran, attended Tehran's Madain Hospital on Tuesday, February 6, 2024 and became aware of the treatment process of Amir Ali Soltaninejad, a 13-year-old child injured in the terrorist incident in Kerman.
In a dialogue with the father of this child veteran who had lost 8 members of his family, including his wife and 10-year-old daughter in the terrorist attack, the Secretary-General of the HCHR offered condolences and wished patience for him and said: “the terrorists and their supporters showed that they do not have mercy to anyone, even children, and commit any crime to achieve their goals”.
The Vice President of the Judiciary added: “Immediately after this incident, the Head of the Judiciary issued a message to the officials of the Judiciary and issued an order to follow up on this crime and the necessary measures are being taken in this regard. A strong response to the criminal actions of the perpetrators of this terrorist incident has been planned and sometimes implemented, for example a significant number of members of the ISIS terrorist group and their affiliates have been arrested”.
In this visit, which was also attended by the Deputy Minister of Education, the Head of Dana Insurance and the Head of Madaen Hospital, Gharibabadi expressed the efforts and special attention of Dana Insurance in developing its insurance coverage for the families of martyrs and injured students, and also thanked and appreciated the follow-up and the efforts of the Ministry of Education and the medical staff of the hospital.
It is noted that 26 students were martyred and 112 people were injured in the terrorist incident in Kerman.
