The Specialized Meeting and Brainstorming of the Representatives of the High Council for Human Rights in the General Justices all over the Country, was held with the presence of the Secretary-General of the High Council for Human Rights (HCHR).
 

HCHR_In this meeting, Kazem Gharibabadi, the Vice-President of the Judiciary in International Affairs and the Secretary-General of the High Council for Human Rights of the Islamic Republic of Iran, first pointed to the crimes committed by the Zionist regime in the Gaza Strip, and also criticized the inaction of international organizations, including human rights organizations and countries that claim human rights, and held them, particularly the United States, responsible for these crimes.
 

The Secretary-General continued to explain the human rights policy of the Islamic Republic of Iran and noted the important aspects of this policy as follows: protection and promotion of human rights inside the country, countering instrumental and political use of human rights, pursuing human rights violations in claimant countries, presentation and explanation of the country's human rights achievements, rational and targeted interaction with international human rights mechanisms.
 


 

Gharibabadi further stated: “The policy of protecting and promoting human rights inside the country is based on Islamic standards, the constitution and the relevant laws, and the government should use its various capacities in this direction”.
 

He then advised the representatives of the HCHR to pay special attention to the rights of all those referring to the judicial system, such as victims and accused, and to carefully implement the provisions of the Criminal Procedure Law, which is very progressive and human rights-based.
 

Gharibabadi also emphasized on key issues that need to be paid attention to by the representatives, such as honoring those who refer to the judicial system, issuing fair sentences appropriate for the crimes committed, determining on the detainees in a reasonable time, carefulness in choosing the type of alternatives punishments and the necessity of ensuring that the rights of the accused are not violated in the stage of investigation and preliminary investigations.


 

The Secretary-General of the HCHR, considering the fact that the issue of human rights is not only limited to the field of judiciary and the HCHR is not specific to the judiciary, asked the representatives of the HCHR to identify the processes that violate people's rights in all the executive institutions in the provinces, and report to the HCHR with their suggestions.
 

In this meeting, the Minister of Justice, the Deputies of the Secretary of Supreme National Security Council, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Intelligence and the Deputy of the Secretary-General of the HCHR for Judicial Affairs gave speeches. The representatives of the HCHR also presented a report on their most important actions in the field of human rights and put forward the necessary suggestions and materials.
