Junior Iranian female taekwondo practitioners have featured praiseworthy displays of spinning kicks and fast kicking techniques at the 2023 World Taekwondo Cadet Championships in Bosnia and Herzegovina. They have been crowned at the high-status international tournament.
 

The Iranians claimed the title for the third time in a row at the conclusion of the sports event at Hotel Hills in the Bosnian capital city of Sarajevo on Thursday evening.

The Iranian team finished first and stood on the top podium, having secured three gold medals through Rozhan Soufi, Seyedeh Kimia Mohammadi and Hana Zarrinkamar in the W-168cm, W-172cm and W+176cm divisions respectively.

Moreover, Kosar Ojaghloo, Heliya Ebrahimiyan and Ayla Jalili received silver medals in the W-156cm, W-164cm and W-176cm categories.

Iran’s Niloufar Safarian was also named the best women's cadet coach.

South Korea followed in the second place with two gold and two silver medals.

Kazakhstan rounded off the podium, having pocketed one gold and one silver medals.

Meanwhile, Iranian boys finished in the fifth slot, having collected one gold and one bronze medals.

Kazakh juniors lifted the trophy, having snatched one gold, two silver and one bronze medals.

Uzbek boys finished runner-up with two gold medals. Italy finished third, having won one gold and two silver medals.

The Sarajevo 2023 World Taekwondo Cadet Championships kicked off in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, on August 28, and finished on August 31.

The tournament brought together dozens of male and female taekwondo practitioners from various countries, including Australia, Azerbaijan, Chinese Taipei, Ecuador, France, Germany, Greece, Iran, Italy, Kazakhstan, Mexico, South Korea, Spain, Turkey, Ukraine, the United States and Uzbekistan.
