Iranian Government Spokesman Ali Bahadori Jahromi has said that the response to assassination of the Lieutenant General Qasem Soleimani will not only be limited to legal measures as he insists that Iranian state organizations will also take action in this regard.
Bahadori Jahromi said that the US terrorist act to kill General Soleimani more than two years ago, for which the Americans claimed responsibility, was a last nail in the coffin of US claims regarding human rights, peace or countering terrorism, adding that the assassination proved that the US government is a terrorist government.
Naturally, the Islamic Republic of Iran has prepared various countermeasures, one of which is in the legal field, he added.
US terrorists assassinated General Soleimani, the commander of the Quds Force of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), and Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, the former commander of Iraq’s Popular Mobilization Units (PMU), along with their companions by targeting their vehicles outside Baghdad International Airport on January 3, 2020, at the direct order from then US President Donald Trump.
