Archbishop Grigor Chiftchian, the Grand Caliph of the Armenians of Azerbaijan, in a statement issued on Thursday condemned the obscene cartoon published by the French magazine Charlie Hebdo.
In his statement, Bishop Chiftchian described the Charlie Hebdo magazine's move as unprofessional and improper, adding that it has hurt not only the Iranian nation but also all true followers of divine religions.
In a situation where the world today needs mutual coexistence and peace, these movements will plant the seeds of hypocrisy in human societies and nations, the statement reads.
