In current world internet is corner stone of life and all human societies use internet in different dimensions of life.role of internet is undeniable in contemporary world and it is suppose as necessity for every one.
Internet is modern technology which has provided context of progress for globe. In context of human rights internet has direct effect on different humanrights which include: freedom of expression,access to information, rights to knowledge, rights to education and rights to welfare.
According to article 19 of international covenant on civil and political rights the freedom of expression is fundemental human rights. Freedom of expression is recognized in different international and regional human rights binding instrumets such as universal declaration of human rights and European convention on human rights. Internet as a modern technology provide effective context for applying freedom of expression.freedom of expression include rights to sending and receiving information without any barriers.Internet as a modern technology facilitate freedom of expression and access to information.For instance every one can spread information, events and ideas via social networks such as facebook, twitter and instagram.internet has provided access to digital libraries, online newspapers,radios and TVs.Internet has promoted freedom of expression,access to information and it is essential tool for promotion and protection freedom of speech.
According to articles 13,14 and 15 of International Covenant on Economic,Social and Cultural rights, right to education is recognized for every one regardless of age,nationality, religion,culture ,race and gender.Internet provide equal opportunities for every one in education and it is effective role for facilitation of access to education.For example in covid-19 pandemic internet respect right to education for all students in all over the world and we must confess internet was only tool of education and research for our world and it provide context of distance learning. Internet has respected right to education and right to public health since outbeark of covid-19.
According to article 11 of International covenant on Economic,Social and Cultural Rights, every one has the right to an adequate standard of living for him self and his family, including adequate food,clothing and housing and to the contiuous of living conditions. Internt provide context of occupation and investment for millions of people which lead to better condition of life.Internet provide context of economic progress for individuals and states.
Thus, internet as modern technology respect and promote different human rights in national, regional and global levels.Access to internet is necessary for benefiting humanrights.Internet is essential preface for exercising human rights.
