The pardon of security convicts, which was proposed by the head of the judiciary and approved by the Supreme Leader on the occasion of mid-Shaban anniversary, was widely appreciated by lawyers and cyber activists.
One of the initiatives of the Islamic Republic is the amnesty of convicts, which is carried out in accordance with the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Iran at the suggestion of the Judiciary and the approval of the Supreme Leader on religious and national occasions.
In the latest move, coinciding with Nowruz and the celebration of mid-Sha'ban, 1,849 convicts of the Public and Revolutionary Courts, the Judicial Organization of the Armed Forces, and government penitentiaries benefited from pardons and commutations.
One of the new initiatives of the judiciary is that a large number of security convicts has beed added to this list.
