In a meeting held on the occasion of the 18th anniversary of the Dispute Settlement Council establishment, the Director of Dispute Settlement Development Center said that an increase in cases which are resolved through reconciliation could be seen and 12000 cases out of 20000 have been led to reconciliation and have caused 5000 inmates to be released.
He also said that so far 3.5 million cases have been terminated and many murder cases have been resolved through the endeavors made by the Dispute Settlement Council.

In this regard, Ali Mozaffari, the former Director of Dispute Settlement Councils said that one of the main missions of the councils is to enhance the culture of reconciliation in the society which still needs to be improved.

Hadi Sadeghi, the Director of Dispute Settlement Development Center also mentioned that during the first half of the current year 197 inmates sentenced to death have been rescued and this is an honor for the Judiciary since we have sympathy and laws next to one another. This has led to 400 cases of rescues from death sentence annually, he added.
