Iran not obliged to remain committed to JCPOA

  • Iran not obliged to remain committed to JCPOA
دکتر محمد جواد لاریجانی

Established Iranian diplomat, Mohammad Javad Larijani, believes that the Islamic Republic must clearly declare that its fulfilment of JCPOA obligations is being done voluntarily and nothing beyong NPT can be accepted by Iran.

Speaking at a live IRIB program, Secretary of Iran’s High Council for Human Rights Mohammad Javad Larijani, while emphasizing the need to focus on the core objective of nuclear talks, said “we went through nuclear negotiations and made commitments in return for removal of international sanctions and in a bid to ease oil sales and monetary transactions.”

“We need to evaluate results and see if our goals are likely to be obtained under newly-emerged conditions,” highlighted the official asserting that Iran has always fulfileld its obligations as repeatedly confirmed by the IAEA.

Larijani added that given the withdrawal of the United States, Europeans do not have the will and courage to do comply with the international deal.

“We can not accept anything beyond the NPT, we have paid too much attention to the Europeans hence their use of pressure against Iran to satisfy their own interests.”

Larijani underscored that the US and Europe have many more areas of disagreement and the European side will ultimately be forced to follow US orders.

The political analyst later stressed that China will be a key moderator in the new tarrif order of the United States and, as a result, Europeans are likely to offer advantages in order to put an end to their tarrif war with Americans.

Larijani added that in the next decade, Iran and China will become two key elements in the West and East Asia. He added that Moscow-Beijing relations are becoming stronger now and the two sides are seeking strategic cooperation.

Larijani said the economic space for Russia is not as open as China, but Russia can play a key role in developing the new bloc.

Larijani said Putin's political capital is standing in front of the US, and he is unlikely to give up this advantage easily.

Later into his remarks, Iran’s HR chief pointed to the massive march of Quds Day explaining that, for the first time ever, the Zionist regime and Western countries tool the movement seriosuly.

Mohammad Javad Larijani continued that Resistance’s strategy has become massive, and it was condecending for the Zionist regime when Netanyahu visited different countries asking them to ban Quds rallies.

He described Israel as a criminal and apartheid regime adding that it should be eliminated as the South African apartheid was uprooted.

The official, while stressing that Palestinians should decide on the fate of Palestine, underlined that the Zionists and Westerners had thought in vain that the Palestinian identity would disappear within 10 years while it is still persisitng.

Iran’s HCHR head the Zionist regime had appeared following the First World War while it was officialy founded after the Second World War; “its primary aims were to limit Islam and dominate the Islamic World.”

Larijani said they would not be able to eliminate the identity of the Palestinians because the new generation of Palestinians are more determined than their fathers;

The analyst of political issues, while pointing to Iran’s entry into the scene and Iran’s explicit support for the resistance front , added that the zionist regime and the United States had formed terrorists in Syria.

He went on to note that Zionists are frustrated and disappointed and want to get their job done as soon as possible.

He said that those who commit harsh and scandalous terrorists in the world have no right to speak of a terrorist.

Larijani said there the US regime has the darkest and wosrt record in the world in human rights abuses.

He also cited Netanyahu’s stattements on Iran and stated that his claims were baseless and unfounded.

Mohammad Javad Larijani underlined that Iran’s nuclear achievements are priceless and invaluable since they created ability for our nation and will leave huge impact in different areas of the country’s national security.

The political analyst added that Americans have a range of illegitimate demands from our country which reveals their inclination towards interference, aggression and insult.

The former Iranian diplomat also shared his views on hypocrites saying that their group martyred about 20 thousand innocent people, but the Westerners purified them.

Larijani said the West believes that hypocrites are the only ones that can carry out terrorist acts in Iran together with other terrorists, and at the same time be represented as political activists internationaly.

“This kind of belief is stupid, and the West knows that when Iran gives room to social acceptance and power, there will be no place for the hypocrites,” he continued.

Larijani added that hypocrites are used for terrorist acts, spying and harming national interests.

He said the funds of the group were from Saudi Arabia, the CIA and the zionist regime.
