Russian President Vladimir Putin and his Lebanese counterpart Michel Aoun underlined resolving Iran's nuclear issue fairly.

The two presidents issued a statement, including 15 articles, and called for solving Iran nuclear issue fairly thanks to Iran righteous rights in taking advantage of nuclear energy based on Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT).

In their joint statement, Putin and Aoun referred to terrorism in all its forms as one the most serious threats to international peace and security and for the regional stability and the sustainable development.

Both sides underscored that they will continue cooperation to confront terrorism based on international regulations, UN Charter and the UNSC decision.

They slammed using terrorism as a tool for geopolitical aims and called for preventing such approach by all countries.

Putin and Aoun described as useful Astana talks initiated by Iran, Russian and Turkey.

They reiterated that Astana talks have been fruitful in paving the grounds for solving Syria problem and reducing violence.

Elsewhere in the statement, both sides expressed their support of the measures taken by Syrian government and its allies in fighting terrorist groups like ISIS and Al-Nusra Front.
