The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) confirmed again Iran's compliance with the contents of the 2015 nuclear deal.

“Iran is implementing its nuclear-related commitments under the JCPOA,” IAEA Director-General Yukiya Amano said on Wednesday, repeating his position on the deal, known officially as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action.

“It is essential that Iran continues to fully implement those commitments,” he added.

“We continue to verify and monitor the implementation by Iran of its nuclear-related commitments under the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action,” Amano said.

Amano has so far released 13 reports on Iran’s nuclear program, verifying its adhering to its side under the JCPOA.

Iran's commitment to the nuclear deal has also been verified by the US intelligence community.

According to CIA Director Gina Haspel, in the wake of US withdrawal from the landmark nuclear deal, Tehran has been “making some preparations that would increase their ability to take a step back” from the landmark deal.

“At the moment, technically they are in compliance, but we do see them debating among themselves because they haven’t seen the economic benefits they hoped for from the deal,” she added.

During the hearing, Haspel was joined by US Director of National Intelligence Daniel Coats, who acknowledged that Tehran is not seeking to develop nuclear weapons capabilities.
