Indonesian Foreign Ministry in reaction to Australia’s decision to relocate its embassy from Tel Aviv to holy Quds (Jerusalem), issued a statement and called for Australia and all other UN member states to immediately recognize Palestine, IRNA reported.

'Jerusalem is one of the six issues that should be talked, decided, and solved within the issues of Palestine,' the statement read according to Indonesian media Antara.

It stressed that Indonesia will continue to support Palestine in global communities, Indonesian Foreign Ministry stressed in the statement that was published on Saturday.

Australian Foreign Minister Scott Morrison said on Saturday that the country will transfer its embassy to Jerusalem in future; the decision faced internal and international oppositions.

His opponents argue that Morrison's decision is against national interests and a blind adherence to Washington's policies.

Only US and some of its allies like Guatemala have currently moved their embassy in the occupied lands to holy Quds, which was condemned by the Arab Union.

On December 6, 2017, US President Donald Trump decided to relocate the US diplomatic mission from Tel Aviv to Holy Quds and to recognize Quds as the capital city of the Zionist regime of Israel.
