HCHR_Today, Sunday, August 04, 2024, at the 8th Commemoration Ceremony of the Human Dignity Day and the 8th Islamic Human Rights Award, Gilles Devers, one of the winners of the Islamic Human Rights Award, who has repeatedly filed lawsuits against the usurping Israeli regime in international courts, considered the action against the Zionist regime in the International Court of Justice as one of the most important actions taken and said: “From 2009 until today, very good actions have been taken to protect the rights of the Palestinian people”.
This French lawyer continued: “Now the Palestinians can file a complaint in this court. Victims of war crimes and crimes against humanity are among the people who can file a complaint in this court”.
Devers also said: “In 2021, this court recognized Palestine as an independent country. In addition, most importantly, this court condemns the terrorist accusations against Palestinian groups. These actions have become an excuse for abuses and misbehavior against Palestinian groups”.
He further stated: “On November 9, 2023, we filed a complaint against the Zionist regime and the Palestinian genocide, which led to a global movement and several positive results from the international court in this regard. In this complaint, thousands of lawyers came to work and now an army of lawyers supports the Palestinian nation”.
This French lawyer also said: “One of the other important issues is the issue of the Palestinian people's right to self-determination. We are looking for issues leading to peace in the Palestinian issue. Now the Palestinian people have an army of lawyers who support them in international arenas. Our current action is to issue an arrest warrant for Netanyahu and Gallant, and I hope we will succeed in this regard in the next few months”.
