In a letter to the Chiefs of Justices of the Provinces of the country, the Vice President of the Judiciary for International Affairs requested to identify, track, seize, confiscate and return the property resulting from the crime to our country.
 

HCHR_The Vice President of the Judiciary for International Affairs and the Secretary General of the High Council for Human Rights of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Kazem Gharibabadi, in a letter addressed to the Chief Justices of the provinces across the country demanded to identify, track, seize, confiscate and return property resulting from crime to Iran.

Gharibabadi wrote in this letter: “It is necessary that if any property or tools obtained from crimes have been transferred abroad, the relevant judicial authorities should start identification, tracking, confiscation and returning properties resulting from crime, using the legal capacity of bilateral agreements on judicial cooperation in criminal matters with some countries. Moreover, in the absence of a bilateral agreement, the legal capacity of the provisions of the Convention against Corruption should be used to demand the return of the property”.
