  • Martyr Sayad Shirazi's son: The determination of the judicial system in handling the case of the MKO is commendable/ The members of this terrorist group must be punished

The son of Martyr Sayad Shirazi says: “The determination and seriousness of our country's judicial system in dealing with the case of the terrorist group of the MKO is commendable. Hoping for a day when not only the Islamic Republic of Iran but also the world will get rid of these terrorist groups.

HCHR_ This morning, the third session of the court hearing the accusations of 104 members of the terrorist group of the MKO and the Organization itself as a legal entity, was publicly held in the eleventh branch of the Criminal Court of Tehran province, presided over by Judge Hojjat al-Islam wal-Muslimin Dehghani, in the presence of the families of the martyrs and a group of journalists.

After the victory of the Islamic Revolution in 1979 until today, Iran has been one of the biggest victims of terrorism and the ground for terrorist groups to commit their crimes, and during this period, thousands of innocent people have been martyred or seriously injured by them.

Meanwhile, most of the assassinations, which are examples of crimes against humanity, have been carried out by MKO terrorist group in Iran.

From the very beginning of the revolution, this group began to take revenge on the people by carrying out explosions in crowded centers, assassinating country officials, attacking people with guns and knives, kidnapping and torturing people, and betraying the country, including by spying for Saddam's Baath regime. So that 17 thousand innocent people were martyred by the agents of this group.

"Mehdi Sayad Shirazi", the son of martyr "Ali Sayad Shirazi", in an interview with the website of the High Council for Human Rights, while appreciating the judicial system for holding this trial and dealing with the accusations of the leaders and main members of this terrorist group, said: "Massacre and heinous killing of innocent people in cowardly ways, such as bombing civilian gathering centers, is a clear and flagrant violation of human rights.”

Emphasizing that today the terrorist nature of MKO group has been completely revealed, he added: “The crimes of the MKO terrorist group have been committed against the oppressed people of Iran under the support of the United States and the West, which are countries that claim to respect human rights while they have no sense of humanity.”

The son of Martyr Sayad Shirazi, referring to the valuable action of the Judiciary in defending the rights of the respectable families of the terror martyrs, said: “The crimes of this terrorist group against the Iranian nation are still continuing. The demand of the families of the martyrs of the terror is to bring this court to a conclusion, issue a verdict and arrest the leaders and main members of this terrorist group.” He added: “We hope that this court will be a precursor to Hague International Court.”

He continued: “Some of the cases of this group, such as the case of my father, General Sayad Shirazi, and other martyrs of the assassination are still open”. He stated: “The MKO terrorist group caused a lot of material and spiritual damage to the families of the martyrs and the Islamic Revolution. Their crimes should not go unpunished and the root of this criminal and traitor group should be dried up.”

In the end, the son of Martyr Sayad Shirazi said: “The determination and seriousness of the judicial system of our country in dealing with the case of the MKO terrorist group is commendable. We Hope for a day when not only the Islamic Republic of Iran but also the world will get rid of these terrorist groups.”
