"Al-Aqsa Storm is the result of years of crimes and brutality done by the Zionist regime against the Palestinian people

  • "Al-Aqsa Storm is the result of years of crimes and brutality done by the Zionist regime against the Palestinian people

The Secretary of the High Council for Human Rights called for decisive action by human rights organizations and international organizations to end the occupation and the crimes of the Zionist regime.

HCHR_ In an interview with Russia Today TV Channel, Kazem Gharib Abadi, the Deputy of the Judiciary for International Affairs and the Secretary of the High Council for Human Rights, referred to the "Al-Aqsa Storm" operation in Gaza and the Occupied Palestinian Territories and added: " The situation we are witnessing in the Occupied Palestinian Territories is actually the result of more than 7 decades of occupation, violation and killing of innocent people by the Zionist regime" He further said : "Since the very beginning of the advent of the fake Israeli regime till the present time, more than a hundred thousand innocent people have been martyred and millions of people have been displaced".

Gharib Abadi added: "During these decades, the Palestinians and the defenseless people of Gaza, have been facing extensive sanctions and complete blockade, in addition to occupation, murder and violation" He opined : "The current situation in Gaza Strip is the result of the brutality of the Zionist regime
He also clarified: "Perhaps the Israelis and their supporters did never foresee that the Palestinian people would be so strong on the scene and fight against Israel, despite the extensive measures taken by the occupying regime to weaken the Palestinians, and this event is a fundamental and key point in the resistance against the regime".

"The responsibility of the genocide and massacre of the innocent people of Gaza and Palestinians lies with the Zionist regime"

The Secretary of the High Council for Human Rights continued to point out that the responsibility of these attacks is on the Zionist regime and the supporters of this fake regime " He added: " Israel is an illegal and illegitimate regime that has forcibly occupied the Palestinian people's rightful homeland and killed and displaced them During these decades, USA and the supporters of the Zionist regime have provided all kinds of financial, economic, commercial, political, security, military and intelligence support to this occupying regime".

Gharib Abadi continued to clarify that during recent years, the United States opposed any resolution against the Zionist regime, and the resolutions approved by the United Nations and the Human Rights Council were mostly vetoed by the opposite vote of the United States and the same or abstain vote of the Western countries Therefore, the direct responsibility for these days' attacks lies with the Israeli and US regimes and the supporters of this fake regime who created such a situation in the region".

He emphasized: "The Zionist regime never grants any rights to the Palestinian people" The USA and the Western countries that support Israel claim that Israel is the largest democracy in the Middle East, which, of course, is nothing save a bitter irony If they claim so , why haven't they held any referendum so far With the presence of all Palestinians, both those who live and those who are displaced In the context of human rights, this is the most obvious principle of democracy that they did not follow, why Because they are worried about the result of free elections".

Palestinians have the right to legitimate defense, not the aggressor and occupying regime

The Secretary of the High Council for the Human Rights further said: This is not the first time that the Zionist regime pounds hospitals, schools, educational centers and other infrastructures in Gaza and the Occupied Palestinian Territories The Zionist regime is an occupying regime and it has responsibilities in international law
Targeting infrastructure and innocent people in conflicts is considered a war crime
In addition, we are witnessing that Israel not only attacks the infrastructures,

but also the Defense Minister of the fake Israeli regime insolently announced that they will completely cut off water, electricity and fuel in Gaza! These measures are actually a complete siege and are considered as a war crime and a crime against humanity in international law.

He considered the actions of the Zionist regime to be genocide and added: "The crimes of the Zionist regime can be investigated in international criminal courts." He also said : "The policy of the USA and the supporters of this regime is to support and protect the Zionist regime and anyone who fights against the occupying regime is declared a terrorist." According to international law, the Palestinian people who are under occupation have the right to legitimate defense. why? Because their lands have been expropriated and they have been subjected to encroachment, complete siege, murder and displacement. As such, they have the right to defend themselves in terms of international law, and the occupying regime has no right so, because it is an aggressor. The only groups who are under aggression have the right to legitimate defense and the claims of the occupying regime and its supporters for the right to legitimate defense are invalid and unacceptable and against international law.

Al-Aqsa Storm is the origin of the destruction of the Zionist apartheid regime / the responsibility of international organizations is heavy

Gharib Abadi also said about the water and electricity cut off for the people of Gaza: "In 2016, we witnesse a similar action in Aleppo, Syria, when the ISIS terrorist group cut off the water to the people, and the United Nations Emergency Relief Coordinator in Syria called this action by ISIS a war crime. This was not said by Iran, Lebanon or Palestine, but a UN official described it.

Regarding the responsibility of international organizations, he said: "we hope that international organizations and human rights courts will deal with these issues and not simply ignore their responsibility. In this regard, three categories of international organizations can enter into this issue and make the Israeli regime responsible: The first category is human rights organizations, such as the Human Rights Council, as well as human rights groups, both governmental and non-governmental. Not long ago, Amnesty International, a Western non-governmental human rights organization, published a report on Palestine and Israel, and used the word apartheid about the Israeli regime. Apartheid has its own characteristics and effects. An urgent meeting of the Human Rights Council should be held and the Israeli regime's crimes should be prevented. He reminded: "the responsibility of the United Nations is also very heavy and grave at this juncture and they cannot just say that both sides should exercise restraint. This is an unequal equation and even proposing this issue is a completely unfair and unjust position in this situation. The occupying regime must stop its crime as the Palestinian people are under complete siege. If the weapons of the Palestinians were equal to the weapons of Israel, they would have ended the occupation by now. We hope that the Al-Aqsa Storm will be the beginning of the end of the occupation".

Gharib Abadi added: "the third category is the legal and international courts, especially the International Criminal Court, which can enter in this field. Although the Israeli regime is not a member of this court, the Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court can start an investigation about the crimes of the Zionist regime. This is very important. In the courts of some countries where the officials of the Israeli regime travel to, it is possible to make lawsuits against the Israeli officials.
