The highlights of the hearing is available here.

The Islamic Republic of Iran is among few nations to have been a major victim of terrorism despite taking various counter-terrorism measures. Over recent decades, more than 17,000 innocent civilians have lost their lives in terrorist operations carried out by different terrorist groups including but not limited to the Monafeqin Organisation (hereinafter referred to as MKO), the Kurdistan Free Life Party (hereinafter referred to as PJAK), Komala, and the Arab Struggle Movement for the Liberation of Ahwaz (hereinafter referred to as ASMLA). The ringleader of one of these terrorist groups has recently been arrested and brought to justice. The first court hearing for Habib Farajollah Cha’ab, nicknamed Habib Asyud, the ringleader of ASMLA terrorist grouplet, was held on 18 January 2022, in the presence of the defendant’s defense attorneys and a number of families of those who had lost their lives during a terrorist attack carried out by the abovenamed terrorist grouplet. The fourth court hearing for the abovenamed was held on 14 February 2022. The fourth part of the bill of indictment was presented to court by the prosecuting attorney, the highlights of which are listed hereunder:

Regarding his chats with Menal Moslemi, the defendant has acknowedged that Moslemi had arranged all his communications with Israel. A US-based Israeli Zionist, known as Amira, has been serving as ASMLA’s legal representative, carrying out human rights activities on behalf of the terrorist grouplet.

In 2019, on the sidelines of a meeting with the leaders of this terrorist group, a U.S. official met with Saeed Hamidan who is the current leader of ASMLA..

Te defendant has acknowledged to having led the Lejnat al-Wefaq party in the city of Shoushtar from 2004 to 2005, serving as the confidant of ASMLA from 1993 to 2005, organizing the terrorist grouplet’s affairs in Europe and the region as well as leading the grouplet since 2013 until his arrest.

Habib Asyud has acknowledged to his communications with the CIA. He has admitted to having met two CIA agents since being in contact with the agency in 2009.

A BBC correspondent is proven to have attended a new conference organized by the terrorist ASMLA grouplet. What does the secret presence of the BBC correspondent mean in such a meeting? The defendant has said: “I don’t deny my role in the crimes which I have committed.”

A BBC correspondent attends a meeting held by the terrorist ASMLA grouplet in the Netherlands to provide its members with media coverage.

The defendant has acknowledged to having led and executed several operations in the Haft Tappeh district of the city of Shoush after leaving Iran, and planned operations for ASMLA for the assassination of some prominent figures, particularly in Khuzestan.

The Netherlands hosted a terrorist ASMLA grouplet forum in 2017, which was covered by Saudi media including Al Arabiya and Al-Ekhbariya. That is clearly emblematic of the fact that ASMLA’s numerous meetings have been fully supported by Saudi Arabia. The Saudi regime’s intelligence agent is sitting next to the chief of staff of Turki Faisal.

The defendant established ties with the Saudi spying service in 2008. In return for providing intelligence, he received $20,000 monthly, a Saudi-encrypted computer set and a television channel. Ahwazna has been the mouthpiece of ASMLA against the Islamic Republic of Iran. This terrorist grouplet had fired Molotov cocktails against a Basij center.

Owing to communications with the Saudi spying service, the defendant has demanded 2 million euros to fund television programs, connect opponents of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the U.S. and Saudi Arabia and finance seminars and demonstrations inside Iran. These are among acknowledgement of the defendant.

Another issue is the logo of the terrorist grouplet. On the top of the logo are two guns which show the terrorist nature of this grouplet. The grouplet has then decided to remove the guns from its logo and replace them with a palm tree. That is only in appearance as the terrorist grouplet has never in fact laid down weapons and has committed terrorist activities.

In an interview with Syrian opposition channel Orient, the defendant has overtly referred to his activities against the Islamic Republic of Iran. The ASMLA spokesperson, Yaqoub Nisi, has during interviews on opposition channels referred to numerous military actions against the Islamic Republic of Iran. Following the September 2018 terrorist attack on a military parade, Habib Farajollah Cha’ab expressed pleasure with this act of terror in an interview.

The defendant has acknowledged military action against the Islamic Republic of Iran and takes pride therein. Four main members of the terrorist ASMLA grouplet are operating in Belgium and the Netherlands without facing any arrest or trial.

The defendant has acknowledged that Habib Nebgan had run and propagated some materials on social media particularly Instagram and Facebook before and after each terrorist operation, one of which pertained to the terrorist attack on Division 92 of Khuzestan, when in an Arabic Twitter thread he had written: “Good News to Continue”.

Members of the terrorist ASMLA grouplet had penetrated the Iranian Hajj pilgrims to identify top military, police and security officials as well as top clergy and send their relevant information to Saudi intelligence service through an encrypted computer. They had also notified Saudi intelligence services of the hotels where top Iranian officials settled during the Hajj pilgrimage.

Members of the terrorist ASMLA grouplet would travel to Saudi Arabia every year in the guise of Hajj pilgrims to meet with agents of the Saudi intelligence service.

The defendant and his ASMLA accomplices had been forwarding information about Iranian pilgrims to Saudi intelligence authorities for ten years.

He had met with Belgium’s deputy prime minister during which Mossad agent Menal Molemi and Hamma Adnan Al Kasir were also in attendance.

The leaders of this grouplet were also in contact with the Zionist regime. They had also called on Israel to assist them in training guerrilla fighters, making bombs, assassinating key persons and attacking military, police and security bases in Iran.

Enjoying the support of certain western countries and the Zionist regime, Habib Nabgan has committed terrorist crimes against innocent Iranian people during all the years of activities by the terrorist ASMLA grouplet.

In his acknowledged, the defendant has acknowledged to having planned to carry out bombing in Tehran to target the Ministry of Petroleum and the Sugar Cane Development Center. He has said that a bomb was being transferred to Tehran for terrorist operations, but ASMLA operatives had been identified and the operation had been called off. Then, he says, oil pipelines in the north of Khuzestan Province were chosen as target.

ASMLA operatives had also launched armed assaults on the buses carrying Iranian visitors to former warzones in western Iran. In one case, the Taibad Friday Prayers Leader had been martyred.

Habib Farajollah Cha’ab has acknowledged that the bombing operations had been financed in Turkey and the UAE, before being transferred to Iran via exchange offices. In the end, terrorist bombing operations were taped and sent to Saudi intelligence authorities.

The defendant has acknowledged to planning an RPG attack on a plane at Ahvaz airport, which was not executed.
