The director general of the Iranian Foreign Ministry’s West Asia department has condemned the participation of the former UN special rapporteur on the situation of the human rights in Iran, Javaid Rehman, in a meeting of the Mojahedeen-e Khalq Organization (MKO).

Kazem Gharibabadi, the Secretary of Iran's High Council for Human Rights, has vehemently criticized Javaid Rehman, the former UN Special Rapporteur on human rights in Iran, for appearing alongside the leader of the notorious terrorist group, the Mujahedin Khalq Organization (MKO).

Secretary of Iran’s High Council for Human Rights Kazem Gharibabadi has strongly criticized the activities and biased stances of Special Rapporteur on human rights in Iran Javaid Rehman with regard to terrorist groups.

Iran says that a decision by the UN Human Rights Council (HRC) to extend the mission of Javaid Rehman, the council’s rapporteur on Iran, with the minimum support of member countries is not a base for Iran’s cooperation and is fully rejected.
