Iranian officials announced the launch of a new text system for the speechless and people who are not able to ask for police help by phone.
The SMS system 110110 has been launched, aiming to provide assistance to citizens, especially those who are unable to speak (speechless people) or those who are in difficult and critical conditions where it’s not possible to call emergency police line, as well as people who do not know their address and intend to send their geographical location via SMS.
“Citizens can send their problem and exact address to 110110 system via SMS, in Farsi or English, the received messages will be read and necessary steps will be taken, as soon as they are received; ” officials have noted.
