During the first days of the New Year holidays, the Strategic Deputy to the Judiciary, the International Deputy to the Judiciary and the Tehran Prosecutor reviewed the welfare and judicial status of the of inmates at Evin Detention Center.
Seyyed Heshmatollah Hayat Al-Ghayeb, Director General of Prisons in Tehran Province said that our goal is to reform and educate and provide scientific solutions to prevent the commission of crime and the safe return of clients to their families and society."
Following the implementation of the Judicial Development Plan, senior judicial officials and judges regularly visit the prisons of the province to check the welfare and health status of inmates and provide legal judicial discounts on individuals, he added.
He also mentioned that during the meetings held during the last days of last year and the first week of the New Year holidays, furloughs or conditional release orders were issued so that inmates could spend these days with their families. In this regard, 4,500 prisoners of the province went on furlough.
