Visiting Iran’s prisons for human rights advocates under one condition: Judiciary chief

  • Visiting Iran’s prisons for human rights advocates under one condition: Judiciary chief

During the weekly meeting held by the High Judicial Council, the head of judiciary criticized the false human rights claims made by certain western countries and said that we are ready to open the doors of our prisons so that human rights defenders can visit any prison they want in Iran provided that they let us make visits to any prison we want in their country. In this case, it will be clear in which country human rights are most respected, he added.

Ayatollah Raeesi also issued executive orders to follow up on approvals and memoranda of understanding with Iraq and made the legal deputy of the judiciary responsible for following up on the personal status of more than 35,000 Iranian-Iraqi families.
