Armenian Bishop: Sanctions against Iranian people cruel

  • Armenian Bishop: Sanctions against Iranian people cruel

The Armenian religious leader of Isfahan and southern Iran said: "cruel sanctions against the Iranian people also cause problems for Christians living in this country."

In a meeting between Isfahan Governor Abbas Rezaei and the bishop in Vank Church on Monday held on the problems faced by Christians living in Iran, Bishop Sepian Kashchian said that those who annoy us are the same people who have imposed cruel sanctions on the Iranian people.

"Our problems are not only domestic, but foreign oppressions that are inflicted on Christians along with the Iranian people, so everyone should look at these issues from our point of view," he said.

Considering the coexistence between Muslims and Christians in Iran, the Armenian religious leader of Isfahan and southern Iran said that according to a proverb, you are lucky if your neighbors are good people, but I should say that it is a double honor and goodness if your neighbors are your brothers and sisters.

The governor of Isfahan also said that there is a peaceful coexistence with friendship, brotherhood, harmony among all followers of the divine religions in Isfahan province. We do not have any problems in this regard and there is a good unity, companionship and convergence between the followers of the divine religions in Isfahan province.

About 7,000 Armenians live in Isfahan province. Armenians have several churches in different parts of Isfahan province and are free to perform their religious and social rites and ceremonies.
