16 female firefighters are going to be recruited by the city council in a month and this number will increase in next rounds of recruitment, city managers said.
There have been volunteer female firefighter working at the fire stations but since two months ago Tehran’s firefighting organization announced the news of recruitment for the first time.
“They are going to be trained and then take part in operations”, Tehran’s firefighting organization director added.
