The Human Rights Watch said in a report that Argentina's judicial authorities are investigating the role of Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman in connection with the Yemeni war led by the Saudi coalition and is expected to be convicted of committing war crimes in Argentina to take part in the G20 summit in Buenos Aires.

Human Rights Watch (HRW) notes in a memo titled 'in the G20 meeting, bin Salman faces with procecution”, HRW in cooperation with the Argentinean Federal Office on Nov 26 sent a file and pointed to its general findings on the violation of international laws which took place during the Yemeni war, pointing out that Salman might be responsible for such crimes as Saudi Defense Minister. In the case his involvement in torture and abuse of other Saudi citizens, including the killing of journalist Jamal Khashoggi can be seen.

Kenneth Roth, executive director of Human Rights Watch, said, 'The Argentinean prosecutors have to consider the role of Salman in war crimes committed by the Saudi-led coalition in Yemen in 2015. So the prince's presence in the G20 summit in Buenos Aires could pave the way for the Argentine courts to compensate for abuses committed to the victims of the Yemeni war; victims who cannot seek justice in Yemen or Saudi Arabia.'
