In a meeting with the Afghan Minister of Justice on Sunday, the Head of High Council for Human Rights called for the expansion of bilateral cooperation of the two countries.

Iran’s HR chief and Abdul Basir Anwar, the Minister of Justice of Islamic Republic of agreed on improving bilateral judicial and human rights cooperation.

“Effective collaboration in the field of human rights among Islamic countries is necessary to stand against western propaganda; such a joint effort would be fruitful in the international arena”, Larijani added.

Stressing the importance of women’s right; Laijani noted: “Imam Khomeini always emphasized on investment on education for women, passing protective laws for women and providing women with required abilities so that they would be able to play effective roles in society”.
