In time with presence of Iran’s human rights chief in Geneva and prior to his speech at UNHCR’s annual meeting, anti-revolutionary media, like always, are spreading lies and have launched baseless propaganda against the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Mohammad Javad Larijani, Secretary of the High Council for Human Rights of the Islamic Republic of Iran, arrived in Geneva on Saturday to attend the thirty-seventh annual session of the United Nations Human Rights Council in Geneva.

According to the schedule, Iran’s Larijani will present his speech today at the thirty-seventh annual human rights conference.

His speeches will advocate for protection of human rights and will be in line with enlightenment about the human rights conditions in Iran and response to the unfair attacks of the counter-revolutionary elements and some Western states.

Nevertheless, in time with presence of Iran’s human rights chief in Geneva and on the brink of his speech at the annual summit, anti-revolutionary media, like always, are spreading lies and have launched baseless propaganda against the Islamic Republic of Iran and according to their never-changing scenarios, are seeking to marginalize presence of Iranian delegations through media waves and cyberspace.

By reviewing the cyberspace, fake accounts can be observed which follow the same line of counterrevolutionary scenarios, that is to say, by making false and baseless claims, they try to undermine credibility of the Iranian delegation at the international session in Geneva.

One of the programs designed by the counter-revolutionary elements at the thirty-seventh UNHCR annual conference in Geneva is being led by BBC Persian.

Based on what the media has released, the BBC has filed a complaint against Iran and handed it over to the UN Human Rights Council.

The BBC’s intention is to deploy some of its staff to the scene of the event where they will claim to be defenders of human rights and will speak against the Islamic Republic of Iran.

The BBC has announced plans to hold a series of events during the 37th session of the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva on its Persian section. These activities will include a press conference on March 12 and a side event on March 15th.

A similar incident happened almost two weeks ago, and the Persian BBC, in an act of false accusation, made the false claim that a gathering had launched a rally outside UN’s European Headquarters in Geneva as a sign of protest against presence of Iran’s Justice Minister Seyed Alireza Avaei.

BBC Persian has always been one of the main pillars of foreign Persian-language media to highlight counter-revolutionary projects.

For instance, in the past weeks, in a ridiculous statement, they claimed that “during the Iranian Justice Minister’s speech at the Geneva summit, about 150 people protested against the Islamic Republic of Iran.”

This false news released by BBC came at a time when footages of the event, launched by media elements of the hypocrites and counter-revolutionaries in the cyberspace, revealed that the number of recruited mercenaries would eventually not exceed 20-25 people.

During long years of its activities BBC Persian has always focused on striking Iran, and has repeatedly launched its policies against Iran and not the Islamic Republic. We can point to many examples of such false moves which range from the 1953 Iranian coup d'état to the recent social unrest which caused several damages.
