Iran-Austria judicial cooperation in progress

  • Iran-Austria judicial cooperation in progress
In a meeting held between Stefan Scholz, the Austrian ambassador to Tehran and the Deputy of International Affairs to the Judiciary on Wednesday, the areas of legal and judicial cooperation between the two countries were discussed.
With respect to the contradictory approach taken by western countries towards the issue of human rights, Ali Bagheri said that weeping crocodile tears for a few convicts on one hand and supporting bloodthirsty regimes such as the Zionist and Saudi regimes who are responsible for killing thousands of innocent civilians in Palestine and Yemen on the other hand, prove the dishonest and hypocrite approach taken by certain western countries.

“Western countries’ attitude towards human rights is based on their policies while the Islamic Republic human rights concepts determine the country’s policies and due to this reason, in spite of the pressure put by the so-called human rights advocates on the country, Iran proudly backs up oppressed nations such as Palestine and Yemen”, he added.

The Secretary of High Council for Human Rights also mentioned the cruel sanctions imposed on Iranian people by those who claim to respect human rights and said that western countries even do not show no mercy on innocent sick children.

“These days will pass as Iranians have passed much more difficult days but the Iranian people will neither forgive nor will forget the inhumane measures taken by certain western countries against Iran”, Bagheri said.
The Deputy of International Affairs to the Judiciary also mentioned several scopes of legal and judicial cooperation between Iran and Austria, welcoming the development of cooperation and sharing bilateral experiences in this regard.

Announcing readiness for cooperation in the mentioned fields, the Austrian Ambassador to Tehran said that Iran and Austria enjoy a bright historical relations background which is based on mutual trust.

Stefan Scholz also said that no country would have the chance to make economic progress in the post-corona era since Iran has the necessary resources, young population and the strong will for the economic development.
